At every moment we are contributing to the consciousness of the world by our frequency. Our thoughts create ripples throughout the universe. When we emit a frequency of gratitude, we literally help change the vibration of the planet. Life is based on choices.
I choose the frequency of gratitude because it feeds my soul. Practicing gratitude changes me physically, mentally, emotionally, and financially. When I wake-up in the morning the first thing I do is feel gratitude. I feel thankful for my family and friends, I feel thankful for another day, for my amazing bed, for my soft sheets and for something wonderful that is going to happen today. I am expecting something good and wonderful to happen. Try it and see what happens for you. Gratitude is like a muscle. As you choose to see the little things to feel good about in your life and in the lives of others, your levels of well-being and joy will increase.
I have made a conscious decision to appreciate and acknowledge all that I have been blessed with. I love to write what I am grateful for, and I also love to express my gratitude to the people in my life. Tell the people in your life that you appreciate them, it can have a big impact on someone’s day, week or even life.
Take a look at yourself as well. Look in the mirror and state what about yourself you love, and are grateful for. You can simply be grateful for being a good friend and a good listener. Be grateful for the moments that slow you down, the ones that cause you to truly be alive and in the moment.
Gratitude shifts your focus from what you lack, to all the abundance that is already present. When you are grateful your heart is open, and that is a beautiful thing because you are radiating more love onto the planet. Look at what you are taking for granted and really count your blessings as you drift off to sleep at night.
I still remember the day Sarah Ban Breathnach came on to Oprah with her book “Simple Abundance”. Sarah not only inspired Oprah to start a gratitude journal but also inspired people from all over the world to start their own including myself. I journal what I am grateful for each night. Some days my list will be filled with amazing things, and other days it will be filled with simple joys.
Real life isn’t always easy or going to be perfect, but being grateful for what is working in our lives will always help us through difficult times and will bring more goodness into our lives.
“I think the words thank you are two of the most beautiful words in the language. They can light up someone’s face and help the other person know that he or she is appreciated. It opens the doors to our hearts and allows us to feel connected. Let’s spend as many moments as we can every day being grateful for all the good that’s in our lives. The more grateful you are, the more you get to be grateful about. It’s that simple.” ~Louise Hay
